Dubai, 17 - 18 November 2026, World Trade Centre — The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), in partnership with the United Nations Development Program, will organize the eleventh edition of the Knowledge Summit.
The Summit aims to strengthen global knowledge systems by transforming knowledge into practical impact through international dialogue and partnerships. During the event, the results of the Global Knowledge Index 2026 will be announced. In the 2025 edition, Switzerland ranked first globally, ahead of Singapore and Sweden, confirming its strong position in global knowledge performance.
Switzerland’s academic system is widely recognized for its excellence in higher education, research, and innovation. It is distinguished by a strong commitment to applied knowledge, close collaboration between universities and industry, and a consistent focus on developing skills that respond to global challenges and future needs.
As in previous years, Swiss academic network participated in the 2025 edition of the Knowledge Summit and found it highly valuable for networking, exchanging expertise, and engaging with global institutions. We will also participate again in the 2026 Summit to continue strengthening international collaboration and promoting Switzerland’s academic excellence, including its universities and boarding schools, with the shared objective of advancing knowledge creation, exchange, and impact.
