Préfleuri International Alpine School

Established in 1948, Préfleuri International is a co-educational school located in the Swiss Alps. The campus is situated near the well-known ski resort of Villars-sur-Ollon and is around 1 hour from Geneva Airport. The school has an international focus, with students aged from 3 to 13 making up one big family of more than 20 nationalities from around the world.

Academic Excellence

Préfleuri’s teaching philosophy relies on their humanistic ethic of respect and attention which helps in contributing to the child’s self-confidence and personality. The school delivers a national school curriculum adapted to the child and prides itself on having small classes. English and French are the main languages of the academic program with possibilities to learn other languages such as Japanese or Russian. Préfleuri also offers opportunities for students to take additional private lessons in scholastic subjects as well as arts or sports. Boarders are always surrounded by members of staff giving them the care, security and affection needed. House parents reside on the premise with their own family and are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all boarders. House parents are supported by educators, sports instructors, housekeepers and other members of staff too.

Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities or clubs drama, model building or Karate. Being in the hurt of the Swiss Alpes the school takes children very often on expeditions and cultural visits to the theatre, cinema and skiing.
