About the School

Aloha College is a not-for-profit, co-educational day school founded in 1982, located in the hills above Marbella on Spain's Costa del Sol. The school educates approximately 840 pupils aged 3 to 18 from over 50 nationalities, making it one of the most internationally diverse British-style schools on the Iberian Peninsula. The campus is positioned in the hills above Marbella with panoramic views of the Mediterranean, offering an exceptionally pleasant environment for study and sporting activity. Marbella's cosmopolitan character — attracting families from across Europe, the Gulf, and the Americas — is reflected in the diverse and welcoming community at Aloha College. The school is situated approximately 40 minutes from Málaga International Airport, making it readily accessible for internationally mobile families. As a not-for-profit institution, Aloha College reinvests all income into the quality of its educational programme and facilities. The school is distinguished by the care it takes in developing each student not only academically but also in terms of cultural understanding and personal character — values that are at the heart of its work with a student body representing over 50 nationalities from across the world.

Academics

Academic Excellence

Aloha College follows a British-based curriculum adapted to serve its internationally diverse student body whilst also embedding Spanish language and culture throughout. In the early years and primary school, the curriculum builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and the core subjects, with Spanish language integrated from the earliest stages. The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is used in primary to provide a cross-disciplinary, thematic framework that develops both academic skills and international-mindedness. In secondary school, students follow the IGCSE programme in Years 10 and 11, selecting from a broad range of subjects across the sciences, humanities, languages, and creative arts. The sixth form offers the IB Diploma Programme, providing a challenging pre-university qualification recognised by leading universities worldwide. The school's academic departments — including science laboratories, IT suites, a dedicated arts block, and a theatre — provide the physical infrastructure to support a comprehensive and well-resourced curriculum. University placement outcomes are strong across the UK, Spain, and internationally.

Beyond the Classroom

Rich Campus Life

Aloha College offers a structured daily activities programme available to all students at no additional cost, covering sports, performing arts, creative activities, and academic enrichment. Football, basketball, swimming, and athletics are among the most popular sporting activities, complemented by dance, drama, journalism, film-making, and school productions. The school's Costa del Sol setting provides access to water sports, golf, and outdoor pursuits that are woven naturally into its broader educational culture. Regular trips and cultural excursions enrich students' experience of Spain and Europe.
